About National Audubon Society
For more than 100 years, Audubon has inspired people to enjoy, appreciate and protect the natural world. Today, amid a host of environmental threats, Audubon's mission is more important than ever. Fortunately, there are many new and exciting ways to get involved.
About the 'Hummingbirds at Home' app
Audubon’s new Hummingbirds at Home app makes it easy and fun to keep track of the hummingbirds you see while collecting data that helps us understand how to protect them. Hummingbirds at Home helps you set up a patch in your yard, garden, porch, window box, park – or just about anywhere – where you can do plant surveys to keep track of hummingbirds and what they feed on. You can also log sightings whenever you spot a hummingbird outside your patch. You use your smart phone or computer to submit your data. With each person spending just minutes of time we can form a network, collecting and transmitting valuable data to Audubon researchers. While other birding apps help you identify birds, Hummingbirds at Home lets you contribute to their well-being. Join us. Together we can help hummingbirds.
