Episode 1: Coming Back
Learn why some veterans easily reintegrate into society after deployment and why some struggle. Wes’ journey begins with Brian Collins, one of his oldest friends and a fellow officer. Last year, Brian abruptly took his own life. The questions surrounding this tragedy initiate Wes’ desire to learn more about why some can get on with their lives, while some cannot.

Jamie Lange serves as Chief Development Officer at WQPT Quad Cities PBS in Moline, IL. She joined WQPT in February 2010 with 10 years of non-profit, development and volunteer management experience. She leads the station's Embracing Our Military initiative.

Panelist
Michael Weinrich is a veteran who has served twenty years of military service in the Air Force. He was deployed over three years with joint task forces made up of the Army and Navy. He has been to Baghdad, Kabul, Mosul, Basrah, Kandahar, Karbala and Ramadi.
- David Rohall
Panelist
David Rohall, Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, joined Western's faculty in 2003. He is a Marine Corps veterans of the Persian Gulf War and has studied the military for more than 15 years. He has published and presented dozens of articles about military service.
