  • Beth Dolinar, WQED Moderator

    Beth Dolinar is a producer at WQED-Multimedia, where her work has been recognized with 13 Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy awards. Her documentaries have explored social issues including food insecurity, opioid addiction, childhood trauma and the challenges facing the children of incarcerated persons. In addition, she has written and produced documentaries and digital content about Pittsburgh history, the city’s young marble-playing champions and the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail. A graduate of California University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern University, Beth has penned a popular column published weekly in the Washington Observer-Reporter since 1997.

  • Janet Williams, Director of Human Resources and Diversity Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services

    Janet Williams is responsible for oversight of Human Resources functions at Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services (PMHFOS). She is also responsible for the organizational efforts to promote and develop proactive solutions to ensure diversity and inclusion across all levels of the PMHFOS workforce. Janet has been employed with PMHFOS for nearly 30 years and is a graduate of California University of PA. During her time with PMHFOS, she has held a variety of positions across the organization including Direct Support Professional, Day Program Instructor, Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional, Director of Lifesharing, and various positions within Human Resources. Recently promoted to lead PMHFOS’ diversity and inclusion efforts, Janet looks forward to continuing to ensure that diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of all hiring decisions, staff and management interactions, and training.

  • Amy Dennis, RN, Excela Health and Director of LPN Program, Fayette CTI

    Amy Dennis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Penn State University, and a Masters Degree in Nursing Education and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Colorado Technical University. She served as Staff Sergeant, United States Air Force, and has worked as a Registered Nurse at Excela Health for ten years. She started at Fayette CTI as Nursing Instructor in 2017, and became Director of their LPN Program in January 2020

  • John Sheppard Educational Consultant New Horizons Computer Learning Centers

    John Sheppard has been providing career guidance to adults, students, and consulting with local businesses about technical training for over 20 years. With a B.A. in Biblical Languages and a Masters of Divinity degree from Harding University, and a Doctor of Theology degree from Ashland Theological Seminary, his prior experience includes working as a high school teacher, adjunct faculty at Ohio Christian University, and Director of Admissions at Ashland. He has worked with New Horizons since 1999.

  • Kendall Griffith Instructor, RHVAC Triangle Tech

    Kendall Griffith educates students in the RHVAC industry. He has also personally gone through a “reskilling” process, having started his career as a maintenance technician at a steel manufacturing company and later attending Community College of Allegheny County to become an HVAC technician. After completing this program, he founded his own HVAC company, Griffith Construction. An instructor at Triangle Tech for four years, he has also served as a mentor at Garfield Jubilee, helping young men and women prepare to succeed in careers in the construction field.
