Jeneissy is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for South Florida PBS. Jeneissy Azcuy is an accomplished Communications and Marketing professional with over 25 years of expertise in the non-profit and private sectors developing and executing all aspects of integrated strategic marketing, communications plans and public relations efforts to advance the organization’s brand identity. Born in Cuba and raised in New York, New Jersey and Puerto Rico.
- María Carla Chicuén
María Carla Chicuén earned a Bachelor's Degree in History with High Honors from Harvard University, and a Master's in International Relations with Merit from the London School of Economics. Prior to FIU, María Carla led special projects in the Office of the President at Miami Dade College, where she focused on strategic partnerships and community engagement. Earlier, she held positions as a Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank in Panama City, Panama, and the World Bank in Washington, DC, in the integration and education sectors. María Carla has extensive experience in the area of higher education access, and has guided numerous students, including many students from Cuba, on university applications. She is the author of the book titled Achieve the College Dream.
- Annia González
Annia González is the Special Collections Librarian at the Special Collections and University Archives Department at Florida International University (FIU). Mrs. González holds a Bachelor in Library Science from the University of Havana and a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida. She has been part of the Special Collections Department at FIU since 2003. Annia is responsible for accessioning, arranging, describing, preserving, and facilitating access to the Special Collections materials. In addition, she works with donors in the assessment, property rights, and legal issues regarding donations to the library. Annia provides research assistance in topics related to Cuba, Latin America, the Caribbean, Florida, and Miami.
- Lourdes del Pino
Lourdes del Pino was born in Cuba, has lived in the US and several Latin American countries, and is a mother of two. Lourdes obtained a Bachelor in Sciences in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami and an MSIE in Management Engineering, also at UM. She is an avid genealogist and researcher. In 2014, Lourdes obtained a Florida Pioneer Descendant Certificate. When she moved back to the US she joined the Cuban Genealogy Club of Miami (CGC) and became the first Vice President. As a member of CGC, Lourdes organized and digitized the Enrique Hurtado de Mendoza genealogical manuscript collection for the Special Collections Department along with CGC President Mariela Fernández between 2011 and 2014. Lourdes has collaborated with Finding Your Roots since 2014.
