Donkey Hodie FULL EPISODE | Flying Flapjacks / Pickle Penguin Problem | PBS KIDS

Flying Flapjacks: For the first time ever, Donkey Hodie wants to make Grampy Hodie a surprise Flying Flapjacks breakfast. Purple Panda offers to help her with his whisking moves, but Donkey wants to do it all by herself. On her first attempt, she ends up making a big, sticky blob because she didn’t use the right recipe. Duck Duck lets Donkey borrow her recipe book and offers to help her, but Donkey still wants to do it all by herself. For the next batch, even though Donkey uses the right ingredients, she doesn’t measure them, so she makes a flapjack that is too big to fly. Bob Dog lets Donkey borrow his measuring cup to measure out the ingredients and offers to help her, but Donkey STILL wants to do it all by herself. Finally, Donkey has made what look and smell like Flying Flapjacks, but they don’t FLY like Flying Flapjacks. Donkey is frustrated she can’t make Grampy’s surprise breakfast all by herself, but then realizes her friends have been helping her all along. After she realizes it’s okay to ask for help when she needs it, she asks all her friends to help her make another batch. The flapjacks are ready, and after they all say the Flying Flapjack Rhyme, the Flying Flapjacks take off into the air! Grampy sure is surprised to see the delicious breakfast his granddaughter made for him. Pickle Penguin Problem: Purple Panda shows off his toy Pickle Pets to Donkey Hodie. While she’s playing with them, the Pickle Penguin accidentally flies into the air and gets stuck between some rocks. Donkey and Panda can’t reach the Pickle Penguin between the rocks, so Panda is prepared to say “Bye forever, Pickle Penguin.” Donkey begins to think of ways to turn the frustrating problem into a fun game while also saving the Pickle Penguin. First, they use a fishing rod and pretend they’re playing a game to be the first to catch the Pickle Penguin. When Panda instead hooks a pinecone and old sneaker, Donkey is still able to turn the problem into a game by pretending the pinecone is a Pinecone Pet while the old sneaker is a Pinecone Pet Bed. The fishing rod breaks so they instead have to use a plunger to plunge the Pickle Penguin out of the rocks. Unfortunately, Panda just plunges a rock but he and Donkey pretend it’s a Pebble Porcupine. Next, they plunge a tin can but have no problem adding it to their fun game. After the plunger breaks, Donkey thinks they’ll never rescue the Pickle Penguin, but Panda reminds her they can turn the hard problem into a fun game. Together they pretend to be superheroes and play Super Scooper with Panda’s Super Spoon. With the confidence of their superhero outfits and fun games, they finally save the Pickle Penguin. They celebrate with a Pickle Pet party! Watch and play more videos and games at or download the *FREE* PBS KIDS Video and Games app at
