Welcome to the Blue Ridge PBS screening of POV Portraits and Dreams and a special feature with a short video recognition of the winners and all who entered our photography contest, "Moments in Time: What is Home?"
We hope you enjoy the documentary and online discussion during the selections. This film offers a unique look into the lives of Appalachia (Letcher Co. KY) students and the influence photograpy has had on their lives.
Portraits and Dreams
Portraits and Dreams revisits photographs created by Kentucky school children in the 1970s and the place where their photos were made. Photographer and artist Wendy Ewald, who guided the students in making their visionary photographs, returns to Kentucky and learns how the lives and visions of her former students have changed. The film combines new narratives and insights of the now adult students
