    Legal Director, ACLU New Mexico, is a board member of the New Mexico Innocence & Justice Project, part-time faculty at UNM, and Past Vice President of the New Mexico Black Lawyers Association.

Panelists

  • Bianca Encinias

    Bianca, a Chicana with roots in traditional New Mexico farming and ranching, is a consultant with a master's degree in community and regional planning, and runs Albuquerque-based El Chante: Casa de Cultura.

  • Robert Blanquera Nelson

    Robert, a Pilipino immigrant, promotes investment in New Mexico as program manager of the Grants Collective, co-chairs the Asian American Association of NM,and helped found Albuquerque Heading Home

  • Tony Watkins

    Tony Watkins, a trainer/organizer with the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond, co-founded Families United for Education (FUE) to promote family engagement in Albuquerque Public Schools (APS)

  • Torri Jacobus

    Torri Jacobus heads the City of Albuquerque’s Office of Civil Rights and is Managing Assistant City Attorney. She serves on numerous boards and commissions tasked with increasing equity and equality in the justice system.

  • Laura Harris

    Executive Director of Americans for Indian Opportunity (AIO), is an enrolled citizen of the Comanche Nation. At AIO she heads up a national Native American leadership development program and an international indigenous leaders network.

  • Laurel Wyckoff
